Dr. Andreas Maetzel

Chief Executive & Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Andreas Maetzel (CEO/CMO) is a physician-scientist with over 20 years of experience across the full product lifecycle in biotechnology and rare diseases. A former SVP at KalVista and veteran of Amgen and BioCryst, he has a proven track record in clinical strategy and market access. He holds an MD, MSc, and PhD, and currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto.

Lester Szymanik

Head of Finance

Lester Szymanik brings over 40 years of finance and risk management experience, including international leadership roles at Pfizer. A CPA and CGMA with an MBA from Seton Hall, he has served as Controller for multiple biotech and energy firms and currently directs all financial and accounting operations for Tavanta.
